Article marketing idea

I've been meaning to get into article marketing for ages.  Have just been too flat out doing other stuff, unfortunately.

But I just had an idea that could combine this online method with offline promotion:

Sydney pubs could be a great target market for this.  There are so many of these, and most have websites.  They are all so unique, often very old, with lots of history and lore attached to them.  They would be great fun to write about.

You could just front up at the bar and offer to write an article about their pub (with link attached in the article body, and/or the bio box) and post it to several article directories for a modest fee.  A certain proportion of managers are sure to say yes.

Hopefully I'll get around to doing this -- or something like it -- eventually.
